ABOUT ME:
My name is Galya Bukova (Gala), and I am a visual and textile artist with a Master’s degree in Textile, Art and Design. I have been painting for as long as I can remember – painting is my way of articulating the world, contemplating life and interpreting it from my own perspective, often engaging with deeper philosophical questions. Over the years, my work has found its place in private collections across the globe, and I have taken part in numerous exhibitions that have helped me refine and continuously question my artistic language.
What I strive to offer through my work is positive energy and a sense of optimism, even when the subject touches on more complex or ambiguous emotions. I believe that art can be both honest and uplifting: it can acknowledge struggle, yet still point towards hope. In this way, every painting becomes a quiet conversation between my inner world and the viewer – a space where colour, texture and emotion meet.
