Montblanc Writers Edition Marcel Proust fountain pen in black resin with silver panels, 18k two-tone gold nib, piston filling, 135 mm long and 13.4 mm in diameter, serial 08201/21000, made in Germany in the late 20th century, in good used condition with minor signs of wear.
Description from the seller
The Montblanc Writers Edition Marcel Proust fountain pen is presented in very good overall condition, fully maintaining the presence, elegance, and distinctive character typical of this limited edition.
The body and the cap in black precious resin retain a deep, uniform shine, with very slight surface micro-signals visible only under close observation and specific lighting conditions, consistent with occasional and careful use. No cracks, chips, or repairs are apparent.
The decorative panels in sterling silver 925 show a gentle and uniform wear, with small surface marks typical of contact and the passage of time, without deformations or material loss. The ornamental engravings remain sharp, well-defined, and highly aesthetically appealing.
The clip and the rings in sterling silver show signs of light use, with fine marks visible aesthetically, maintaining a firm and proper structure, without looseness or functional alterations. The individual numbering engraved on the cap is clearly legible.
The white Montblanc emblem on the top of the cap is intact, well-centered, and free of cracks, retaining its original color and definition.
The 18-karat solid gold fountain pen, bicolor and with a commemorative engraving, is presented in very good condition, with no visible deformations or damages. The nib is correct and aligned, suitable for writing. The integrated piston filling system operates smoothly and precisely.
Overall, it is an honest, well-preserved, and completely original specimen, with light signs of use consistent with a collectible piece of this nature, ideal for both writing and inclusion in a Montblanc Writers Edition collection.
It will be sent in a courtesy box for proper preservation.
