Oil painting on canvas by Cornelis Groeneveld (1882–1952).
The painting depicts a tranquil waterway with a small rowing boat. In the background, a village, a mill, and weeping willows can be seen, giving the overall scene a typically Dutch and atmospheric character.
Cornelis Groeneveld was active in Rotterdam and Katwijk. He gained recognition for both figure pieces and landscapes, in which he depicted the Dutch landscape in a subdued and recognizable manner.
Dimensions: 55 x 74 cm
Viewing is, of course, possible. Additionally, we have our own in-house framing workshop, which is celebrating its 85th anniversary. Furthermore, we collaborate with restorers from the professional organization: 'Restauratoren Nederland'. If you wish to make use of this service, we would of course be happy to hear from you.
