*Lucien Delarue was born in Paris on November 10, 1925. Very early, he participated in numerous art exhibitions and achieved immediate success. He is internationally known as an artist who faithfully captures the romantic atmospheres of Paris. His famous subject of the "roofs of Montmartre" as well as other Parisian scenes, equally well executed, complement his otherwise romantic depictions of the south of France. The ports of Nice, St-Tropez, Villefranche, as well as the repertoire. Delarue holds an impressive list of medals — gold, silver and bronze. He is a member of the French Watercolor Society. His work can be found at the Musée de l’Île-de-France at the Château de Sceaux. The municipalities of Clichy and Paris have purchased his works. Today, he is certainly one of the best-known artists in France. His style and colors are immediately recognizable and collectors seem to have an insatiable appetite for his work. Almost all European or American collections of consequence include one or more of his works.
