Giuliano Barbanti was born on October 22, 1936. Attracted from a very young age to painting, he enrolled at the local Federico Faruffini School of Art at the age of fourteen.
She has been working since 1952 as a graphic designer at the advertising agency Arar in Milan, where she stays for five years, while continuing to study painting and frequenting art galleries and studios of Milanese artists. She visits the major exhibitions organized by the Municipality of Milan at Palazzo Reale in the 1950s: Caravaggio, Picasso, Van Gogh, and Mondrian. The latter will become a constant and fundamental reference for her work. She begins exhibiting in some group shows at the Civic Library of her city.
In 1961, with a group of young artists, he opened the gallery 'Il Giorno.' He is among the founders of the 'Piazzetta' exhibition and contributed to its evolution from an annual painting show to a center of permanent activities aimed at promoting interventions in neighborhoods, based on the needs expressed by citizens and carried out with their involvement in all project phases from 1973 to 1976. The following year, he established his studio in the Quartiere delle Botteghe, where artists such as Castellani, Bonalumi, Festa, Marzulli, Curone, and Forgioli work.
