Gino Romiti (Livorno, May 5, 1881 – Livorno, September 19, 1967), nicknamed The painter of spring for his love of all gifts of nature and famous for his portraits depicting natural landscapes with frequent presence of trees, pine groves, and flowers.
In the early period of his activity, he formed a close friendship and a professional relationship with Amedeo Modigliani.
In 1920, together with other Livorno artists, he founded the Gruppo Labronico, which was established in his studio after the death of Mario Puccini. His artistic career began with his involvement in the school of the post-macchiaioli, of which he was an interesting exponent.
'Campagna' is the title of the work created with oil technique on panel.
