Description from the seller
This Omas Limited Edition fountain pen, '50th Anniversary of the State of Israel', numbered 0606/1100, is presented in excellent condition, accompanied by its original Omas blue velvet case, documentation, and commemorative medallion, as shown in the provided images.
Overall aesthetic condition
The pen maintains an impeccable presence, with a body and cap made of solid 925 silver that retain their natural patina — characteristic of aged silver — with no significant deterioration. The metallic surface shows only minimal superficial marks, consistent with very light use and careful storage over time.
The body reveals the characteristic design with translucent windows in an ivory tone, without cracks, fissures, and with a uniform shine. The Hebrew engraving on the lower part of the body is well-defined and shows no wear.
Cap and decorative elements
The cap, also in 925 silver, fully retains its shape and fit.
The clip shows minor superficial wear but remains solid, aligned, and functional.
The anniversary engravings and the commemorative shield are deep and completely legible.
The top of the cap displays a blue enamel emblem with the Star of David, in perfect condition, with no loss of enamel or dents.
Nib
The bicolor 18k gold nib, commemorative “1948–1998,” is preserved in outstanding condition.
Without deformations
No signs of microfractures.
– No visible wear on the edges.
Original Omas feeder, clean, unobstructed, and with a uniform color.
The power supply set and blue section retain their intense color without any fading, and the engraving of the edition number remains clear.
Charging and operating system
The pen functions properly.
The loading mechanism (Omas cartridge/converter) operates smoothly and firmly.
It shows no leaks or play.
The cap's screw thread closes smoothly, without jumps or irregular wear.
Case and documentation
Includes:
Hard case Omas in blue velvet, in very good overall condition, with slight signs of aging.
Original, clean, complete, and spotless documentation.
Omas commemorative medallion, a piece that is rarely preserved.
Conclusion
This Omas Limited Edition pen, commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the State of Israel, stands out not only for its historical significance and limited production of 1,100 units but also for its outstanding condition. It is a completely original, well-preserved example, with minimal wear and 100% functional. It is an ideal piece for both collection and use, difficult to find at this level of aesthetic and documentary integrity.
