Description from the seller
The intense painting 'Atelier d'artista' depicts a moment of creative intimacy within an artist's studio. The oil on board reveals extraordinary mastery in managing light and shadows, which adds depth and vitality to the scene. The central figure, the artist engaged in sculpting, is immersed in a dreamlike atmosphere, illuminated by a warm light that gently envelops his work. Around him, statues and busts contrast the image, suggesting the ongoing dialogue between man and his creations.
The color palette is dominated by warm tones of yellow, orange, and blue: an inviting and delicately reserved atmosphere unfolds. The brushstrokes are soft and lively, offering a sense of movement and fluidity to the scene. The atelier becomes a prime place for exploration and reflection, where each object plays a fundamental role in the creative process.
The tactile and cursive aspects add great charm to the composition.
The painting has been recently cleaned and bears the artist's date and signature, at the bottom left: 'R. Passaro 1967'.
The table is embellished with a fine inlay at the back.
It comes from a private Venetian collection.
As a gift, the set included with the work features a golden frame from the same years.
Dimensions: 49 cm x 45 cm.
