Impressionist landscape – Attributed to Isidore Verheyden (1846–1905)

Dimensions (without frame): approximately 53 × 43 cm.
Condition: Very good condition, colors well preserved.
Artistic description
This beautiful rural landscape depicts a lush green meadow bathed in soft, diffuse light. The trees, abundant vegetation, and buildings in the background create a peaceful atmosphere typical of the Belgian countryside.
The brushstroke is energetic and impressionistic, composed of small, thick, and vibrant strokes. The treatment of light and colors, as well as the natural and balanced composition, strongly recall the style of Isidore Verheyden and the tradition of the École de Tervuren.
The little path winding through the vegetation invites the viewer to enter the scene, enhancing the intimate and pastoral character of the work.
