Description from the seller
Bruno Bani (1964) – 'Saturno'
Year: 2025
Mixed technique on four layers of overlaying canvas (acrylic and gold leaf) with RGB LED lights.
Dimensions: 50 × 50 cm
Signed: on the back
Authentic: Included
Archiving: Work archived at the Bruno Bani Archive.
This extraordinary work by Bruno Bani, titled 'Saturno,' represents one of the most emblematic expressions of his exploration of the stratification of forms, the relationship between light and surface, and the perceptual dialogue between matter and color.
The artwork is created on four overlapping canvases, built like true orbital layers, evoking the complexity and beauty of planetary conformations.
The 50 × 50 cm base is painted in a refined vintage green tone, which gives the overall piece a sober and contemporary elegance.
Above it, the subsequent levels develop.
A 40 × 40 cm circle in vibrant solar yellow.
A white oval, which introduces a luminous balance point between the levels.
and finally, a smaller oval in gold leaf, the true visual heart of the piece.
The gold leaf, with its natural irregularities and changing reflections, becomes a magnetic element, capable of capturing light and altering its intensity depending on the angle of observation.
The installation features an RGB LED light, perfectly integrated among the various levels. The backlighting emphasizes the depth of the shapes, creating a chromatic halo that transforms the piece as the light and surrounding environment change. When lit, the light flows through the levels like an atmospheric emanation: green, blue, turquoise, and other shades shape new interpretations of the work, making 'Saturno' a dynamic piece that is constantly evolving visually.
This fusion of painting, light, and three-dimensional structure is a distinctive trait of Bruno Bani's research, an artist known for his ability to combine geometric rigor, technical experimentation, and luministic sensitivity.
The work is signed on the back, archived, and accompanied by an original certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
