Description from the seller
When I stood before this canvas, I didn’t set out to paint just lilies on a pond — I wanted to capture a quiet memory, the kind that slips between day and night, between reflection and reality.
As my brush moved, I imagined myself standing at the edge of a garden, the kind of garden that feels half-forgotten by time. The sky was turning to dusk, its colors melting into the water, a soft dance of pink, gold, and lavender. The lilies floated patiently, their round leaves gathering the last kisses of sunlight, while their pale blooms reached up as if whispering to the sky above.
The trees hung over the water like guardians, their reflections trembling gently on the surface. I let my brush blur the boundaries — was it sky or pond? Were those clouds or petals drifting down? I wanted the viewer to wonder, to feel the hush of that moment.
This painting became, for me, not just an image, but a soft, breathing memory — a quiet place where light lingers just a little longer, and the world slows down enough to be truly seen.
