Beautiful complete set straight from Japan consisting of five Japanese tea bowls from the Tachikichi brand, handmade in the traditional Kyō-yaki style from Kyoto.
Each bowl is hand-painted with a different floral motif – symbolic of the seasons. The bowls come in their original wooden box (kiribako) with Japanese calligraphy on the lid.
The set is ceramic, with visibly light crazing in the glaze – this is a natural aging pattern that is typical for Japanese pottery and part of the “wabi-sabi” aesthetic (the beauty of imperfection).
