Condition: Age-appropriate condition. The painting is in a fresh and good state of color with isolated craquelure. However, the frame (shadow strip) is damaged. Please note the photos, which are part of the condition description.

Lothar Quinte (1923–2000) was a German painter and graphic artist and is considered one of the significant representatives of concrete art and Op-Art in Germany. His work is characterized by a consistent engagement with color, form, rhythm, and visual perception. After initially creating representational works, Quinte developed a strictly abstract visual language from the 1950s onwards, which brought him international recognition.
Especially his Op Art images are characterized by precise geometric structures, modular color systems, and optical movement effects. With serial compositions, color gradients, and dynamic repetitions, Quinte created visual vibrations that actively engage the viewer's perception. His works operate at the intersection of painting, graphics, and visual research.
Lothar Quintes' works have been exhibited in numerous museums, international exhibitions, and collections, and are regarded as an important contribution to the development of European Op-Art and constructive concrete art of the 20th century.
