Sergio Zampieri’s Il camaleonte is a 2026 original abstract artwork in oil and acrylic on cotton canvas, 80 x 60 cm, signed by hand, in excellent condition and produced in Italy, depicting nature with iridescent gold, bronze, silver, white and multicolour accents, ready to hang and shipped mounted on its frame directly from the artist’s Rome studio.
Description from the seller
Original unpublished artwork created by contemporary painter Sergio Zampieri (Rome, 1968).
The painting was created in two stages using mixed media techniques, oil and acrylic.
In the first phase, for the base subject, only oil colors were used to allow for perfect blending of the forms, starting from a dark background of Payne gray and white, and progressing with the addition of lighter shades.
Once the oils had dried, the final decoration was applied using iridescent acrylic pastes in shades of yellow gold, zecchino gold, copper, silver, bronze, and pearl white.
The final effect, as seen in the photographs, is the result of a highly material work in iridescence, with a play of light and shadow that shapes itself depending on the position of the light source.
The work is archived and permanently visible on the artist's official website
