A patinated bronze by SANDRO CHIA, one of the most splendid representatives of the Transavanguardia, a painter and sculptor known worldwide, is offered. 'Angel' is the title of this well-known work by the master, created around 1980. Height 47.5 cm, base 12x12 cm, weight 6.385 kg. In 50 copies, this is the first of a special edition of 10 pieces with Arabic numbering, in excellent condition. Signature and numbering engraved on the base.

Sandro Chia, the artistic name of Alessandro Coticchia, was born in 1946 in Florence, where he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in 1969. He travels around the world: India, Turkey, Europe, and spends 10 years in Rome before moving to New York for 20 years; he currently divides his time between New York and Montalcino near Siena.
E has exhibited his works worldwide, participating in events such as the Paris, São Paulo, and Venice Biennials.
