"Mother's embrace" is an original work in a realistic-symbolic style that symbolizes maternal love through a spectacular vortex of colors: a vortex that ends in a pure white knot, to testify to the strong emotional bond that can exist between a mother and a child. It is a painting somewhat different from the usual canons of metaphysics and surrealism to which the artist has accustomed us, but equally beautiful, rich in fiery colors; it measures 80 cm in height by 60 cm in width and 2 cm in thickness. Antonio Pirozzi, born in Giugliano in Campania near Naples, is an architect and painter. He was trained among Neapolitan surrealist and metaphysical painters, among whom we notably mention Antonio Nunziante. His canvases, in fact, capture dreamlike and unreal atmospheres, compositions of remarkable poeticity, built on absurd combinations that seem to evoke the realm of the subconscious and the arcane.
