The title 'Não se afobe, não' refers to a line from the song 'Futuros amantes' by Brazilian singer-songwriter Chico Buarque, to which the painter pays continuous homage through her painting.
Sandra Chinelate, born in Juiz de Fora (Brazil), works on physical and existential inquiry conducted through the tools of figurative painting. A graduate in literature and a self-taught artist from a young age, she moved to Italy and, influenced by her multiple sociolinguistic perspective, conducts her artistic research with the aim of fostering encounters among different social subjects, where various ages, skin colors, passions, and human doubts are considered from a strong desire of the artist to highlight their facets, safeguarding her characters from any prejudice. Since 2006, she has exhibited in solo and group shows. She works with oil and mixed media on canvas and panel.
