This painting by the artist Sandra Chinelate, Brazilian by birth who lives in Italy, measures 60 x 80 cm, oil on fine-grain canvas, is signed on the bottom right and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity, stretched on a frame, and depicts two Brazilian girls in all their vibrant colors and expressions.
Sandra Chinelate works on the physical and existential investigation conducted with the tools of figurative painting. A graduate in the humanities, and as a child a self-taught artist, she moves to Italy and, influenced by her multiple sociolinguistic gaze, conducts her painting research with the aim of promoting an encounter among different social subjects, where people of different ages, skin colors, passions and human perplexities are contemplated from a strong desire on the part of the artist to highlight their facets, safeguarding her characters from any pre-judgment. Since 2006 she has exhibited in solo and group exhibitions. She works with oil and mixed media on canvas and on panel.
