The work is divided into two parts.
On the left there is a heavier part, dominated by black: a large dark square that gives a compact, almost block-like feeling. Inside, a white circle breaks this mass and creates a point of lightness and breath, even if minimal.
To the right, however, the sensation changes: here the white breathes more. The black is still present, in abundance, but it is distributed in a pattern of marks and leaves room for emptiness. This part feels less heavy, more dynamic, more in motion.
The canvas is thus divided in two, and the two halves have one thing in common: the circle, which serves as a link between the two “worlds” and holds the work together.

I'm Pietro Fight, a visual artist based in Milan. My research is a 'writing of gesture': sign- and calligraphy-like abstractions in which circular modules and grids of signs build rhythm, density and breath. I’m interested in weight in space, the balance between filled and empty, between accumulation and suspension, between the intensity of the mark and zones of visual silence. This language emerged in 2020 during the Covid period, transforming repetition into construction and variation. Although the method is repetitive, each work remains unrepeatable, because each circle and each trace is always different. I offer exclusively original works (no prints), signed on the front and back and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity with an ink stamp.
