Oliviero Toscani (1946–2025) - Andy Warhol

This black-and-white photograph of Andy Warhol with a Polaroid was taken by Oliviero Toscani in 1975. The image depicts Warhol as both photographer and subject, while he holds in his hands a instant camera from which his self-portrait emerges. The photo has an immediate and genuine style, without retouching, and it became famous also as a testimonial image for the Polaroid brand. Toscani captured Warhol's charismatic and authentic side, marking also the beginning of a long friendship between the two.
