On offer are 2 Chinese pale celadon nephrite jade pendants (a pair). One pendant is to be worn by the woman and the other by the man. That way, they form a pair. The pendant intended for the man has a carved image of a dragon, symbol of the emperor. The pendant intended for the woman has a carved image of a phoenix, symbol of the empress. Placed together, they form a single unit with the character for double happiness carved in the center. Both pendants have engraved well-wishes, like “spirit of the dragon” and “life as you wish”. Extremely fine details as pictured! Top! Rare set, never found before! They are both delivered with nice hanging cord.
Both have been identified as nephrite jade by measuring thermal conductivity and hardness and translucency. Also checked with UV light; which indicates a natural color.
