Description
Charming colour lithograph by the renowned Swedish artist Madeleine Pyk, titled “I ateljén” (In the studio), created in 1994.
The work depicts a stylised studio interior with the artist and her model, rendered in Pyk’s unmistakable visual language: warm ochre tones, simplified forms, and a poetic, slightly whimsical atmosphere. The composition reflects a recurring theme in Pyk’s oeuvre, the artist observing herself and her surroundings, creating a quiet dialogue between creator, subject, and space.
The lithograph is hand-signed in pencil and numbered 4042/5000 in the lower margin. Colours appear fresh and well-preserved. No visible tears or stains observed through the glazing. The work has not been examined out of the frame.
A decorative and collectible example of Scandinavian modern graphic art, well-suited for both private interiors and established collections.
