----------------------------------------------------------
A proponent of warm abstraction, Achille Perilli was born in Rome on 28 January 1927 and died in October 2021.
He is known for compositions of shapes that resemble a projection onto a plane of parallelepipeds, which ultimately appear implausible and irregular, almost indecipherable to the eye.
Perilli creates his works through a strong use of color — pleasant and rigorous together — and supports his work with a deliberately 'imprecision' that works to the advantage of expressiveness.
Achille PERILLI is, therefore, an important and sought-after artist, and here I present a work that well represents his artistic style, mixed media on CANVAS, year 2009, generous dimensions for a work by this artist, a full 100 x 81 cm., title “Il Sole Ridente,” signature and date at the lower left and signature, title, year of creation, and dimensions on the back. It comes from well-known collectors.
The work is accompanied by an authentication certificate and an archive on the artist’s photograph (with the accompanying stamp) and is entered with No. 150 for the year 2009 in the Archive of Achille PERILLI’s works.

Extended biography
An exponent of a warm abstraction, Achille Perilli was born in Rome on January 28, 1927, and died in October 2021.
He attends the classical high school and in 1945 enrolls in the Faculty of Letters and prepares a thesis on Giorgio de Chirico without graduating. He was a co-founder, together with Attardi, Consagra, Dorazio, Guerrini, Accardi, Sanfilippo and Turcato, of the artistic avant-garde called Gruppo Forma 1, inspired by Marxism.
He founded, together with Piero Dorazio, Guerrini, Renzo Vespignani, Buratti, Muccini, and Maffioletti, the Gruppo Arte Sociale (GAS). Together with Piero Dorazio and Guerrini, he also founded the Libreria-Galleria “Age d'Or,” through which he became the organizer of various artistic events, among which the collaboration with the Milan Triennial, invited by Lucio Fontana, stands out. In 1962 Perilli held a solo show at the Venice Biennale, and he went on to stage exhibitions around the world—from New York in 1963, Prague 1961–1969, followed by Amsterdam, Chicago, and Tokyo.
In 1977 he participated in Cooperarte, together with the artists Carla Accardi, Getulio Alviani, Carmelo Cappello, Gianni Colombo, Antonio D'Agostino, Emilio Isgrò, Carlo Nangeroni, Mario Nigro, Luca Patella, Concetto Pozzati, Mimmo Rotella, Giulio Turcato, and Nanda Vigo. Cooperarte was a cooperative of artists that sought to explore new forms of relationship and engagement with the public. The first exhibition of this venture was held at Centro Allende La Spezia on February 26, 1977. Cooperarte published a portfolio of 14 graphics, numbered from 1 to 100.
The works of Achille Perilli are described as Geometric Abstraction and are characterized by bold, bright color schemes.
