Tommaso Campajola - Sculpture, Guerriero a cavallo - 70 cm - Patinated bronze

Impressive and dynamic sculpture in patinated dark bronze on a solid base of stratified marble, depicting an American Native warrior (Indian) on horseback, armed with a spear and accompanied by a beast (panther/jaguar).
The work is created drawing from the famous model of the renowned Neapolitan sculptor Tommaso Campajola (active in Naples from the late 19th to the mid-20th century). The sculpture is distinguished by its extraordinary depiction of movement, the horse’s wind-blown mane, and the beast’s anatomically well-defined form.
The bronze is signed by the author ("T. Campajola") with a clearly visible engraving on the horse’s tail. Excellent finish and period patina.
