Life happens.
Work description
An original work in a contemporary naïve style that represents an everyday scene in a rural setting, where architecture, landscape, and human presence coexist harmoniously. The composition captures a moment of the day in which life unfolds naturally, without extraordinary events, highlighting the beauty of the everyday.
The scene captures multiple simultaneous actions that build a shared narrative: people drinking coffee and talking calmly, children running and playing, a mother talking with her son, an older woman walking slowly, a pregnant woman sharing a conversation with an acquaintance, a grandmother accompanying her grandson, small groups of people chatting while standing, a woman walking her dog and a mother walking with her three daughters toward a meeting with a friend and her little girl, while a man watches his children. At the same time, several figures appear in the windows, observing the whole scene and watching life unfold around them.
The work conveys a sense of balance and calm, where each figure has its place in a shared space that welcomes different generations and rhythms of life. Unlike the artist’s other works, this composition does not include symbolic elements such as clocks or pennants, since the everyday scene itself is presented as a celebration in its own right, without any artifice.
Deliberately, the author omits the use of shadows, opting for a representation dominated by light and color, with a slight sense of depth in the architectural area where social life unfolds. This choice reinforces the idea of a suspended and luminous time, where there is no specific moment, but a universal and recognizable instant.
The work sits within contemporary figurative art, using a personal naïve language that values simple living, everyday coexistence, and the human richness that inhabits shared spaces.
