Hand-blown glass sculpture in a drop shape with a gradient from emerald green to turquoise blue, 18 cm high, 11 cm wide, 8 cm deep, weighing 1.1 kg, unsigned and probably of Italian origin (Murano/Venice, 1960s–1970s), decorative sculpture with age-related wear.
Description from the seller
Elegant hand-blown glass sculpture, with a drop/elongated teardrop shape and an asymmetrical form, featuring a stunning gradient from emerald green to turquoise blue, an internal fibrous texture and fine bubbles that hypnotically catch the light.
Massive transparent base, a very graphic tapered top, likely the sommerso or incamiciato technique, typical of mid-century Italian design.
Precise dimensions
Height: 18 cm
Maximum width: 11 cm
- Depth: 8 cm
- Weight: 1,100 g (thick glass, premium quality feel)
Very good condition for a vintage piece that is 50–60 years old.
A small, discreet chip at the bottom of one of the faces (minor impact, barely visible once in place, does not affect stability or overall aesthetics – see the dedicated photo).
Smooth and glossy exterior, clean interior, intact color gradient.
Unsigned, probably Italian origin (Murano Island or Venetian glassmaking from the 1960s-1970s), but without a maker's mark or label to confirm it with certainty. Style and technique very close to masters such as Seguso, Barovier & Toso, Flavio Poli, or similar productions from the period.
Object purely decorative / sculptural (no utilitarian function: not a vase, not a bowl, nor a candlestick). Ideal as a solo art piece on a shelf, console or coffee table – with a spectacular light effect. Connoisseurs will recognize the brand.
Accurate photos; sold as is, with no aggressive cleaning.
Reinforced packaging and very secure shipping are mandatory (fragile and heavy item).
A beautiful little vintage stained-glass sculpture, colorful and luminous.
