Description of the artwork by the artist
"Cryptogram" is like looking at an invented language: you don't read 'what it says', you hear how it sounds.
From a distance it seems like a solid surface; up close it becomes a world of micro-events, repetition and variation: a work that invites you to enter.
The black/silver contrast here is not merely aesthetic: it’s a dialogue between pressure (accumulation) and air (pause). The small dark hollows are like breaths or moments of silence within a very long sentence.
The overall effect is hypnotic: a kind of 'ordered noise' that remains controlled, but alive.
ARTIST
I am Pietro Fight, a visual artist based in Milan. My research is a “writing of the gesture”: sign-calligraphic abstractions in which circular modules and grids of signs build rhythm, density, and breath. I am interested in weight in space, the balance between fullness and emptiness, between accumulation and suspension, between the intensity of the mark and zones of visual silence. This language emerged in 2020, during the Covid period, transforming the boredom of the repeated daily routine into construction and variation. Even though the method is repetitive, each work remains unreproducible, because every circle and every trace is always different. I offer exclusively original works (no prints), signed front/back and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity with a personalized ink stamp. Careful shipping and availability of photos, video, and further information on request.
