Grzegorz Gust's Zimowa Aleja, an acrylic on canvas in 70×100 cm, in the Impressionism style, original edition, dated 2026, in pristine condition, produced in Poland and sold directly by the artist.
Description from the seller
Winter Avenue – Silence Closed in Color. This is a painting created in acrylic on canvas measuring 70x100 cm, which represents a personal interpretation of a winter landscape — full of calm, yet also inner dynamism.
I placed particular emphasis on shaping the tree trunks. The technique I employed gives them an almost three-dimensional character. The roughness of the bark contrasts with the ethereal, almost dreamlike mist enveloping the distant landscape.
Although the theme is winter, I abandoned the cool white in favor of subtle blues, purples, and warm tones breaking through the snowy cover. This makes the painting come alive depending on the lighting in the room.
A perspective that draws you inside: The composition of the avenue creates depth that pulls the viewer into the heart of the landscape, offering a moment of respite and reflection.
The painting is ready to hang. It will fit perfectly in a modern living room or bedroom, bringing harmony and an artistic flair to the interior.
Grzegorz Gust is a contemporary Polish painter born in 1973 in Grudziądz, whose artistic practice is uniquely shaped by the dualism of his professional life. As an active forester, he interacts with raw nature on a daily basis, which forms the foundation of his creativity. This specific background allows him to transfer authentic structures and rhythms of nature into his studio, which cannot be developed without a deep, personal contact with the forest ecosystem.
The artist has become a creator out of a need to express an emotional connection with the world, and today his style defines a subtle fusion of abstraction, surrealism, and elements of naturalism. As a member of the Association of Visual Artists (ZAP), he has developed a visual language based on mixed-media techniques, where the primary motifs are botanical forms, insects, and dendritic structures. His works are an attempt to capture the harmony between humans and nature, filtered through a touch of fairy-tale whimsy and symbolism.
The greatest influence on his work comes from experiences drawn directly from nature—silence, light, and the texture of the forest. In his work, Gust combines sensitivity to color with careful attention to the textural layer, seeking peace and aesthetic balance in painting.
The workday of Grzegorz Gust is split between duties in the forest and focus in the studio. Time spent in the field supplies him with constant stimuli, which he translates to canvas in the evenings, maintaining a polished studio practice and the depth of his images. His future project goal is to further explore the microcosm of nature – creating works that through their scale and detail will lead the viewer into a state of deep calm and invite contemplation of the beauty of detail.
I collaborate and exhibit works together with my daughter, Julia Gust-Trybuś, forming a family artistic duo.
The artist is present on the Polish art market.
His works appear at auctions, including Young Art auctions in well-known auction houses (e.g., Desa Unicum, or Art in House). The price estimates at auctions suggest that he is a recognizable name in this segment.
Style and technique
Technique: He specializes in mixed media, mainly using acrylic paints. The large format of his works (usually 70x100 cm) allows him to freely experiment with various textures, structures, and light, which gives his works a great depth of texture.
Current: His painting is a fusion of abstraction, surrealism, and naturalist elements. In his works, there is often a note of fairy-tale quality and symbolism.
Theme: The central motif is nature (often botanical motifs, insects, forest) and the search for harmony between humans and nature. His paintings have a reflective and emotional character.
