Decorative wooden panel from the mid-1900s depicting the Greek god Hermes.
Hermes is the Greek messenger god, son of Zeus and the nymph Maia, known for his cunning and speed, protector of travelers, merchants, shepherds, thieves and eloquence, and psychopomp, that is, the one who accompanies souls to the Underworld. It derives from a piece of furniture where it served as a door, with dimensions of 62 x 42 x 6 cm.
