Description from the seller
History of the Caminetto brand
The Caminetto brand was founded in 1968 in Cucciago (Como) by Luigi Radice and Giuseppe Ascorti, two pivotal figures of the modern Italian pipe-making school.
Caminetto represents a real stylistic revolution: pipes are no longer merely classic, but sculptural, inspired by modern design and freedom of form.
In the 1970s and 1980s Caminetto became one of Italy's most highly regarded brands internationally, especially in the United States, thanks to:
innovative forms
deep and recognizable rusticity.
excellent quality of the rootstock.
dry and reliable smoke
After Ascorti's departure (who would later go on to found Ser Jacopo), the brand continued production, maintaining high standards, with a strong, recognizable identity.
Today Caminetto pipes are considered icons of Italian collecting, especially vintage specimens.
DESCRIPTION OF THE PIPE
