Gunilla Jähnichen, born in 1972 in Stade, is one of the exciting voices of the contemporary German art scene. Today, she lives and works in Berlin, where she creates independent visual worlds with a keen sense of form and color. Her artistic career began with studies at the University of Applied Sciences Hannover, followed by a formative stay in Reykjavík as part of an Erasmus scholarship. She then studied Fine Arts at Hamburg University of Fine Arts with Prof. Stanley Brouwn and Prof. Werner Büttner.
