With a subtle color palette and a balanced composition, the photographer evokes the spirit of the Renaissance, but places it in the twenty-first century.
Like the great European masters, her backgrounds are not mere decoration but a silent force that carries the object forward. In her images, silence becomes tangible, almost audible.
Van de Bunte grants things a rare clarity: she shows their weight, their presence, their dignity. Ursula's studio is located in a monumental building on the IJssel in the Hanseatic city of Kampen. She exhibits her work in museums, galleries, and at international art fairs.

Passionate, sensitive and an eye for detail, light and colour, would be a nice description for Ursula's working method. She is a perfectionist, enthusiastic and diligent, she will only be satisfied when the well-known WOW factor has been achieved.
With her artworks she tries to bring her subjects forward in the purest way. Ursula transforms objects into powerful still lifes and the portraits are a reflection of a bygone time, in which every now and then a sprinkle of modern life is incorporated.
Her work is unconventional and the use of light tends towards her sources of inspiration; the paintings of Jacques-Louis David, Rembrandt and Caravaggio.
As a photographer, Ursula also tries to distinguish herself through diversity in her work and, in addition to individual creations, she also makes series, in which she lets multiple images tell one story. She was discovered, among other things, with her intriguing, tranquil still lifes: the series Plastic Vegetables’ and the series ‘House-4-Sale’. These works have been awarded various prizes, including for the series “de 100 van Rooyackers.”
