AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

ABOUT THE ARTWORK

In D. D. nº 587, Dr Drip employs his signature compressor-driven spraying technique to project vivid color across the surface. The work explores the relationship between controlled gesture and physical reaction, where intention and gravity meet.

Through a system of sprayed strokes, the artist establishes a direct dialogue between hand, material, and space, generating visual tension and movement. The composition activates the surface without relying on narrative, inviting engagement through rhythm, contrast, and flow.

Rooted in post-graffiti and spray culture, Hana-Bi reflects Dr Drip’s background in street art while translating those influences into a contemporary studio context.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Dr Drip is an artist with a background in graffiti and street art, which informs the conceptual and material approach of this series.
