Title: Setter with game
Technique: oil on canvas
Dimensions:
– with frame: 56×50 cm
– without a frame: 41×36 cm
Description:
Painting depicting a setter with a hunting quarry, set in a natural context rendered with atmospheric sensitivity and attention to detail. The work is representative of John Emms's body of work, an English painter known for his hunting scenes and for the ability to confer strong expressivity to the animals depicted.
The rendering of the coat, the dog's alert gaze, and the harmonious color balance between the subject and the landscape testify to a solid and pleasing painting, attributable to the English tradition of the late nineteenth century.
The work is in good overall condition. There is a small pinhole at the center, discreet and barely noticeable, which goes unnoticed in the overall view and in photographs. A gold frame is present.

Shipping by postal mail is the most economical method, but not the most suitable for transporting works of art. In the case of postal shipments, the packaging will be done with the utmost care; however, especially for antique or gilded frames, it is not possible to guarantee absolute protection, and these must be considered decorative elements that accompany the artwork.
Tracked shipment. Insurance available on request (all costs borne by the buyer). Any duties or customs charges are borne by the buyer; delays and costs are also possible for Europe, shipment from Switzerland.
Pickup in Geneva by appointment, at your preferred time and free.
