Description from the seller
Oil painting and mixed media on board, 50 x 48 cm, 1.8 cm thick, signed bottom right, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. The artwork is attached to a wooden back frame that prevents warping and undulations.
The artwork depicts a reclining woman, in tones of blue, green, and brown, and it pairs perfectly with a wide range of environments such as living rooms, bedrooms, and studies, furnished in styles ranging from modern and clean to rustic, boho, etc. The artwork offers any space the exact touch of delicacy, while at the same time power and softness.
Sandra Chinelate works on the physical and existential inquiry conducted with the tools of figurative painting. A graduate in literature, and from a young age a self-taught artist, she moves to Italy and, influenced by her multifaceted sociolinguistic gaze, conducts her artistic research with the aim of promoting an encounter among different social subjects, where different ages, skin colors, passions and human concerns are contemplated from a strong desire on the part of the artist to exalt their facets, safeguarding her characters from any prejudice. Since 2006 she has exhibited in solo and group shows. She works with oil and mixed media on canvas and panel.
