Approximately 58 x 52 cm
Traditional Kuba textile panel, handmade in woven raffia fibers, originating from the region of the Kuba people in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (Central Africa).
This textile features a remarkable decoration of diamond-shaped geometric motifs and labyrinthine forms, symbolic of Kuba aesthetics, where repetition, variation, and controlled asymmetry play an important cultural and artistic role.
The obverse is decorated with appliqué and/or embroidery on a base of natural raffia. The reverse clearly shows the artisanal vegetal weave, confirming traditional craftsmanship.
Ideal piece for an African art collection, wall décor, or framed display.
