Description from the seller
The phrase "I AM AN IMBECILE" (IO SONO UN IMBECILLE) refers to a famous artwork by artist David Shrigley, created for Banksy's temporary project known as Dismaland; it was a temporary artistic installation, conceived and set up by Banksy and lasting for thirty-eight days, from August 21 to September 27, 2015 at the Tropicana, a disused seaside lido in the tourist town of Weston-super-Mare in Somerset, England. The exhibition presented itself as an 'anti-Disneyland amusement park'. The artist, in addition to financing the construction of the show, contributed by creating ten new works there. 4,000 visitors were admitted per day. The name of the installation is an English word composed of the terms dismal ('gloomy, lugubrious') and land ('land'). The balloons were distributed during the show, making them highly sought-after collectibles.
The plastic material bears the inscription, in white on a black background, "I AM AN IMBECILE".
The measurements are: height 80 cm, width 58 cm.
It will be shipped folded and well packaged in a rigid, well-sealed box.
It can be framed to highlight its importance.
It comes with an entry document to the park bearing the name, which has been obscured for privacy, of the person who visited Dismaland.
