Édouard RICHARD (1883–1955) - Strasbourg – Pont de la Petite France - Oil on panel
Beautiful oil on panel depicting a historic bridge in Strasbourg, most likely the emblematic area of Petite France, with its Alsatian houses and their reflections in the water.
The work is signed at the bottom 'Strasbourg – Edouard RICHARD'.
The brushwork is free yet controlled, reminiscent of Impressionism, with a warm, luminous palette that highlights the architecture and the reflections on the canal.

Born in Saint-Quentin on 16 November 1883.
Died in Saint-Quentin on November 13, 1955.
Student at the Saint-Quentin School of Drawing.
