Édouard Richard
A French painter of the twentieth century, known for his floral still lifes and decorative compositions in bright colors, in a post-Impressionist vein.
Beautiful oil on panel depicting a still life with poppies, executed with a generous and expressive brushwork.
The warm palette, dominated by reds and oranges, is balanced by a light background and a vase rendered with transparency and subtlety.
The composition is animated by the presence of fallen flowers in the foreground, adding depth and dynamism to the whole.
A high-quality decorative piece, typical of mid-20th-century French production.
