Biography: Enzo SAN MARCO is a Franco-Italian painter and photographer born on September 10, 1992, in Bari. He pursued academic training in chromatology at the Institute of Fine Arts in Foggia. He has been living in the south of France since 2024. For him, art, even when abstract, is above all a choice of composition, of forms and colors, in their opposition and their complementarity. Fascinated by the artistic universe of Mondrian (primary colors), Kandinsky (forms) or Vermeer (composition), he studies the color wheel and believes that each form or color has its own spirituality and that their assembly, modifiable to infinity and randomly, would be like an alphanumeric code.
His inspiration is mainly a spiritual process that promotes the idea of the relationship between abstract geometry, complementary colors, and symbolism: In each of his paintings, he tries to create a composition of shapes and complementary colors, giving movement while breaking lines. Behind the abstraction, symbolism is often hidden.
