Samson - Inkwell - Porcelain

Decorative antique inkwell made of finely worked porcelain, richly polychromed. The body features floral and ornamental motifs in red, green, yellow, and blue, complemented by stylized blossoms and scrolling ornament. On the sides there are raised decorative appliqués in turquoise tones. The foot is also colorfully designed and accented with a gold rim.

The precisely fitting lid is made of metal (probably brass or bronze) and is ornamentally engraved, with a small knob as a handle. The combination of porcelain and metal gives the object a high-quality and representative appearance.

The inkwell is in good, age-appropriate condition with light signs of wear that are consistent with its age. No visible cracks or restorations are detectable.
