Droga w lesie is an oil on canvas painting, 40 × 30 cm, from Poland, created in 2024 by Piotr Sujka (XXI), an original work from the 2020+ period depicting a winter scene in Realism.
Description from the seller
Painting - "Road in the Forest" - 40 x 30 cm, varnish, oil on canvas, certificate of authorship.
Author - Piotr Sujka (born 1971).
He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, Faculty of Painting and Mural Painting. He primarily works in sacred painting. He is the author of polychromes in churches in Albania (Tirana, Lezhe, Balldren, Shkoder, Derven, and many others), where he lived and worked for 10 years. In Poland, he has created polychromes in churches in Warsaw, Lublin, Łęczna, and Puławy.
His passion is primarily figurative art.
In easel painting, the favorite theme is mainly women, with portraits presented in a simplified manner, far from realism but also distant from abstraction.
As a versatile artist, I paint landscapes en plein air, realistic, sometimes leaning into abstraction. In this way I document the places where I have been. The landscape "Road in the Forest" dates from 2025 and is part of the series of paintings "Polish Roads" painted in nature, live, a motif from near the artist's place of residence. The painting is on canvas and measures 40×30 cm.
