"Transparencias" explores the overlaying of planes as a metaphor for the emotional states that coexist in a single moment. Each form opens like a petal of light, allowing colors to filter into one another, producing a sense of soft, ethereal depth. The work proposes a dialogue between what is shown and what is insinuated, between the visible and what remains in transit, creating a space where the gaze can move freely and discover layers of calm, energy, and silence.
Inspired by Ginkgo biloba, a millenary tree native to China and considered a living fossil, this plant symbolizes perseverance, adaptation, and resilience. The shape of its leaves has been interpreted as a balance between opposites, a dialogue between life and memory, between the rational and the emotional. Precisely this geometry in its leaves, soft yet structured, naturally connects it to the series 'Natural Architectures,' of which this work is a part: a series that explores the geometric and emotional abstraction of the plant world from a perspective influenced by the aesthetics and elegance of Art Déco.
