Description

Elegant crystal sculpture signed Lalique France, depicting a stylized bird, attributable to the partridge model (Perdrix), an iconic subject of Lalique's nature-inspired production.

The piece is made of pressed crystal with a refined frosted satin finish on the body of the animal, in harmonious contrast with the transparent and glossy base. The plumage is rendered with great precision thanks to a delicate process of engraving and shaping, which creates depth and an elegant tactile effect. The details of the head and wings testify to the high level of craftsmanship typical of the Lalique house.

At the base there is an engraved signature 'Lalique France', created with a diamond-point, an element that allows dating the production to the post-war period (from 1945 onward).

The sculpture rests on a base integrated with transparent crystal, solid and well-proportioned, which enhances the animal’s figure and ensures its stability.

Condition

The work is in excellent condition, as good as new, with no scratches, dulling, or visible signs of wear.
We report only a microscopic chip on the back of the support/“leg” that rests, not visible when the sculpture is upright and detectable only upon very close inspection. This imperfection does not in any way compromise the aesthetics, stability, or usability of the work.
