AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Cristalleria Etruria – Bottle / carafe with stopper in art glass and crystal – Italy, 1960s–70s

Description

Refined decorative bottle with stopper, made of mouth-blown artistic glass, Italian production by Cristalleria Etruria, a historic Tuscan manufacturer.

The object features a globe-shaped body in aqua-green glass, blown and manually shaped, supported by a sculptural stem with red decorative inclusions, obtained through hot-working. The circular base is made of mottled yellow glass, with a textural/materic effect and internal movement typical of Italian artistic productions of the period.

The original stopper, finely shaped, is made of blue crystal (or lead glass), characterized by concentric ridges that enhance its brilliance and the refraction of light.

The entire composition reflects the Italian Mid-Century Modern style, with strong echoes of artistic design from the 1960s to the early 1970s, a period of great chromatic and formal experimentation in Italian glassworks.

On the bottom is the original label 'Cristalleria Etruria', which confirms its authenticity and origin.
