L'ultima carrozzella, an oil painting on masonite from 1940–1950, Italy, by Mario Petri (1908–2000), depicting a still life, hand-signed, original edition, 40 × 30 cm, in good condition.
Description from the seller
Mario Petri, Livorno 1908 - Livorno 2000. From the Labronico group alongside Romiti, Novellini, Ulvi, and Natali. A title, for this painting, "L'ultima delle carrozzelle" which almost sounds naive, but it is almost a world that crumbles. From the currents of the Macchiaioli, post-Macchiaioli, and from what remains of Cubism, here everything seems to merge to plunge into a world where you no longer know if it is day or night, if it is raining or if the sun is shining. The evanescent forms and the figures in waiting, almost about to plunge, and perhaps only Petri knew where.
The painting, done in oil on a masonite panel, measures 40 x 30 cm and is in the condition shown in the photo.
Ensures excellent packaging and assistance until the delivery of the goods.
