Description from the seller

Acrylic on canvas.

Maestro Aldo Gentilini.

In good condition.

Signed front bottom, while on the back there is the authentic mark made directly by the artist.

Canvas dimensions: 55 × 80 cm.

This surreal work by Master Aldo Gentilini comes from an important private collection.
It is certainly an interesting and very fascinating work, of generous size. In fact, with the frame its dimensions are about
100 cm high and 75 cm wide.
It is an abstract work and it is complete with its original frame, which is in good condition, but without the glass, which could be put back in.

The images provided are an integral part of the description.

It will be packed with great care and shipped via express courier with tracking.

Aldo Gentilini was born in Genoa in 1911. From a young age, he felt a strong religious vocation that led him to enter the cloistered monastery of Pietrasanta, where he stayed for three years completing philosophical studies. He then dedicated himself as a self-taught artist, which led him to exhibit in numerous shows in Italy and abroad.
Man of faith, he believes that only through art can one reach the divine. And this thought will serve as the backdrop to all his work:
I try to make space — declared Gentilini — this void causes me a certain catharsis: I observe sensitive values that I respect, I reevaluate them, but I never know how I will fall into the frame, and this is the realization of a truth towards the sign never thought of.
He was an artist practicing asceticism to imitate the Saint he was devoted to. The two natures, that of the human and that of the aesthetic, perfectly coincide.
