Montblanc 254 fountain pen with a black resin body and cap, gold-plated clip and fittings, German origin from the late postwar period, in good used condition, original Montblanc 14C nib with OB point, piston-filler mechanism functioning, length 13 cm and diameter 1.2 cm.
Description from the seller
A0000003178
This Montblanc 254 is presented in very good overall condition, notable for the integrity of its materials and the proper preservation of its original components.
The body and the cap in black resin maintain a deep, uniform sheen, with slight surface micro-signs typical of use and the passage of time, visible only under close inspection. No cracks, fissures, or deformations are observed.
The cap fits properly and retains its original shape. The clip and gold-tone rings show light, uniform wear, in keeping with the pen’s age, with no corrosion or significant loss of plating. The Montblanc emblem on the cap finial remains well defined.
The original Montblanc 14C nib, with an OB (broad oblique) point, is in very good structural condition, with no cracks or deformations, with the tines properly aligned and the imprint sharp. The ebonite feed complements the nib well and remains intact.
The piston-based loading system has been verified and operates correctly, with smooth movement and good sealing, enabling efficient ink loading.
Overall, it is an original, well-preserved and fully functional specimen, suitable for both collection and regular use, faithfully representing the quality and character of the Montblanc post-war 2xx series.
It will be sent in a courtesy box for proper preservation.
