Description from the seller

Giulio Turcato (Mantua, 1912-Rome, 1995), The Acropolis, acrylic and collage on cardboard 33.5x36.5 cm, signed bottom right, with gallery stamps on the back from various galleries (Galleria d'Arte Piero Della Francesca, Arezzo; Studio Mirabello, Milan; Valente Arte Contemporanea, Finale Ligure (Savona)). Exhibitions: Selected Works, November 2025, Galleria d'Arte Piero Della Francesca, Arezzo.

Documentation: Certificate of storage and registration of the Giulio Turcato Archive, Rome, prepared by Ettore Caruso. Excellent condition: no damage, no restoration, slight even patina, work in contemporaneous frame.

Beautiful and rare work, one of the first Acropolises created in the early 1970s. Our gallery collaborated directly with Maestro Turcato from 1972 to 1995 (the year of the Maestro's passing), organizing two solo exhibitions of the artist (the first in 1972, the second in 1991). Turcato also participated in various of our group exhibitions and shows.
