The presented work is part of a coherent inquiry developed within a series exploring the relationships of color and form.
This artwork unfolds a supple geometry, based on the superposition of simple shapes and controlled transparencies. The visual space that results is fluid, almost atmospheric, without breaks or a marked hierarchy.
The luminous palette invites a slow perception. The gaze may rest upon it, then move freely, without an imposed focal point. Balance is built by the relationship between the shapes rather than by their individual assertion.
Yasuko's work is rooted in a pared-down geometric painting, attentive to the relationships of color, rhythm, and visual breathing. Her compositions favor economy of means and a restrained approach, letting a silent, sunlit presence emerge rather than a discourse.
Yasuko lives and works in France.
